WeWork provides its members with cutting edge shared workspaces, community, and services for entrepreneurs, freelancers, startups and small businesses.

Founded in 2010 WeWork has rapidly grown to over 100+ operating locations globally, and was named among the “most innovative companies” of 2015 by Fast Company magazine. WeWork designs and builds physical and virtual communities in which entrepreneurs share space, office services, and the opportunity to work together. The company’s 80,000+ members have access to health insurance, an internal member network, social events and workshops, and an annual summer retreat.

Holt was chosen as WeWork Companies Construction Manager for WeWork Market St., a project located in downtown Philadelphia. This “design- build” project was built in two phases of construction. As its CM, Holt worked closely with the WeWork development team and their design team in the Pre-Construction phase and thru a Value Engineering phase to ultimately arrive at a GMP with the client.

Involved the installation of new hardwood flooring, which had to be completed inside a 4 week schedule.

Involved completing the project turnover in an aggressive 14 week “fast track” schedule despite heavy coordination of multiple trades and finish materials that weren’t finalized until 5 weeks from turnover.

Spread out over the 2-floor build out. The interior construction involved building a new aluminum and glass storefront system for all its offices and conference rooms to house WeWork’s new members.
