As part of the redevelopment of Brookfield Place, Holt Construction worked closely with MEP Engineer AKF and Brookfield to demolish and replace existing Cooling Towers of a 2.8 Million SF Class A Office Tower.
Brookfield had several lease commitments with new major tenants to upgrade the Base Building Cooling Towers. All work was phased to properly accommodate building systems and cause no disruption to the tenants. In addition to new cooling towers, concrete pads were replaced, new structural steel supports, new pavers, new ship rails. Access to the roof was very complicated as this was limited through the Central Plant therefore all cooling tower systems and equipment was built on-site and nothing came preassembled.
