United Airlines Wide-Body Hangar

Holt Construction was hired by United Airlines to build the 81,000 SF
wide-body hangar to service their fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliners.

Holt’s construction team handled the logistics of the build-out with an active taxiway on the west and one on the east side of the hangar. The new wide-body hangar is equipped with state-of-the-art pop up pits which house a 400 Hertz power system, preconditioned air and air starts. The 400 Hertz power system provides clean power to the plane while it is being serviced and it’s digital controls are tested. A dual purpose of the hangar is to also service multiple smaller sized planes.
