PROJECT CONTROLS

Our systems and controls are applied for every project we build, regardless of size, location or complexity. This contributes to the outstanding and consistent construction quality we deliver to our clients with every project we build throughout the country.

PROJECT CONTROLS DRIVE INFORMED, COLLABORATIVE DECISIONS

All project control functions are driven by our project execution staff in close coordination with safety, preconstruction and other departments using our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools that provide information and facilitates collaboration among the entire project team, including owners, architects, engineers, field staff, trade partners, vendors and our project management team. This speeds the process for RFI’s, submittals and punch lists.

MANAGING ISSUES
AND RISK

The ability to react to real time data delivers a faster more efficient project. Our data-driven software allows us to analyze project data and trends to improve decisions and help us predict issues before they arise.

BUDGET AND SCHEDULE TO ENSURE QUALITY CONSTRUCTION

We utilize a robust project management software to help us stay on schedule and on budget throughout the lifecycle of a project. This allows our project team to maintain accurate budgets as well as track critical costs, all the while keeping our clients up-to-date.

FINANCIAL TRACKING AND BILLING CONTROLS

Our financial tracking software integrates with our project management software to allow a seamless flow of information. This provides for more efficient and accurate billing to clients.

Estimating

The estimating department proactively conducts  M/WBE, DBE, SDVOB Outreach while conducting enterprise-wide platforms, optimized bid-levelling, project benchmarking, budget modeling, constructability, operability and maintainability based Modeling.  Additionally Holt’s estimating department develops contingency and allowances, value analysis, value engineering and peer reviews.

Scheduling

The master schedule is an active document managing the approach to achieve project goals. Scheduling can commence once the baseline milestone schedule is finalized. Scheduling is a collaborative process that includes all necessary parties. As a team effort we will develop an integrated construction schedule in addition to schedule sequencing, interactive planning, pull planning, critical path analysis, construction logic review – 2-week, 4-week, 6-week Look-a-head, long-lead activity management, resource loading and schedule technical analysis.

Cost Management

After the contracts have been bought and the value of the overall budget re-affirmed and accepted by the Tarrant County, the Holt Construction cost control process will be implemented to monitor actual construction costs versus overall budget. Beginning with initial contract awards, the cumulative amount of committed funds is carefully monitored including traditional and alternative delivery models, estimate reconciliation, estimate recasting per project execution plan (PEP), budget verification, budget tracking, anticipated cost reports, forecasting, project analytics, contingency & allowance management.

Change Management & Project Financial Risk Management

On any project change management and project financial risk management is crucial. The Holt team tracks comprehensive change by utilizing change classification, and enterprise tracking platforms against aging reports, anticipated cost tracking, financial risk assessment and robust documentation.
