Full-Service Bar & Dining Build-Out at Logan Airport

Boston Logan International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the U.S., welcoming more than 43 million passengers in 2024. In the bustling heart of its Terminal B–C Connector, Holt Construction brought a Shake Shack with a full-service bar to life, offering travelers a convenient and inviting spot to grab a bite on the go.
Serving as general contractor, Holt transformed a 1,500 sq. ft. raw space into a fully functioning restaurant. The build-out includes a commercial kitchen, bar, seating area, takeout counter, and back-of-house operations. With no existing infrastructure on site, Holt with the collaboration of our trade partners, installed everything from HVAC and plumbing to electrical systems and finishes, essentially creating the restaurant from the ground up.
Working inside an active terminal demanded precision and constant attention to passenger safety. Holt installed a full-height temporary wall at the start of construction, a standard Logan requirement, which stayed in place until the restaurant was complete, ensuring travelers were never exposed to ongoing work.
Like many projects in 2024, the fit-out faced supply chain delays in flooring, switch gear, and kitchen equipment. Through proactive planning and close collaboration with trusted, pre-qualified trade partners, Holt kept the schedule on track and delivered the project on time and on budget.
