Ever poised with an open invitation for the impossible, Mark routinely takes on desperate tasks and turns them effortlessly into smiles on the faces of his clients. How does he do it?…..I’m not sure any of us will come to know the secret. On any given construction jobsite you will often see a group of people meeting, pointing at various incomplete objects and scratching their heads as to how it all goes together. Like a general, Mark will march up to the group, get them to stand in position and somehow impart his clairvoyant vision of the completed project.
General Phillips has earned the complete respect and trust of the construction soldiers who follow him into battle daily. His swift decision-making has saved the lives of so many schedules and projected budgets over the past 9 years at Holt that it is difficult to put a value on the concept other than to simply say it’s priceless in our industry. Mark’s true candor, regardless who is in the room, has aligned owners, trade contractors and the Holt Family into a collaborative machine that can accomplish any goal.
As if his legacy was not enough of an example for us all, Mark has also recently passed his CMAA exam that makes him a Certified Construction Manager and he’s also been appointed to the position of Director of Government Affairs for CMAA Metro NY & NJ Chapter. Two tremendous achievements all while juggling myriad projects and keeping his customers happy. Yes, a multitasking maven if ever there was.
Congratulations Mark and thank you for your dedication and passion for our business!
