LaGuardia Airport
FAO Schwarz at LGA

FAO Schwarz selects Holt Construction Corp. to bring the “World of Toys” to LaGuardia; ensuring that their brand is recognizable throughout the store’s features.

With its strong NYC heritage, FAO Schwarz offers an unparalleled selection of extraordinary toys that have enchanted generations. The FAO Schwarz aesthetic is probably one of the most recognizable in the nation, as it remains the oldest toy store in the United States. Holt Construction was selected as General Contractor for the build-out of the FAO Schwarz store located in Terminal B of Concourse B at LaGuardia Airport (LGA).

Known for their unique, high-end toys and distinctive style, Holt knew this project would be no exception to larger-than-life design expectations. Though the space is much smaller than their flagship stores, the owners were not swayed from implementing a few impressive components. Oversized gears were installed above the center of the store, and the owners made sure the layout resembled the iconic high-end toy store.

Overall, the scope of the work included the installation of unique custom cut front tile, as well as the incorporation of extensive electrical and plumbing work. The project also included applicable graphics and signage, electrical, HVAC, lighting, new displays, ceilings, mechanical, and finishes.
