Southwest Operations Renovation

Southwest Airlines engaged Holt Construction to renovate their existing airport operations spaces in Terminal B, Concourse B of LaGuardia Airport.

Our services were utilized in both pre-construction and construction phases of the project, as there were many existing conditions, scope changes, and phasing hurdles to overcome. Construction was performed during regular hours and could not impact any active operations for the airline or passengers. When updates are planned, the many unknowns and extremely active environment call for an experienced team, familiar with airport operations and conditions, to be engaged with the design team in order to facilities a successful construction project.

Holt performed exploratory work, partial demolition, and design consultation with the design team on a continuous basis. Southwest’s new operations spaces would house offices for management, operations areas for flight ops and services, as well as locker rooms, restrooms, and break areas for all staff.
