Holt served as the Construction Manager for Kaplan Hall, located on the SUNY Orange’s Newburgh, NY campus, which became the first building–public or private–in Orange County to be awarded LEED Gold Certification by the United States Green Building Council.

The three-story Science & Technology building atop a 3-level subterranean parking garage which houses an array of classrooms and science laboratories, as well as a two-story library, a one-stop center for all student services, a cybercafé where students can mingle, and office space for faculty members and administrators.

Highly efficient HVAC systems, LED lighting, a roof-mounted solar PV array, along with a 15,000-gallon cistern that is used to capture the roof rainwater and irrigate the vegetative rooftop of the underground parking garage were all features included in the project.
