Syntactx Expansion

With the growth of Syntactx, the client required General Construction services to expand the 44th floor at 4 World Trade Center which at the time was an unbuilt space.

Syntactx is a growing clinical research services company located in the heart of Manhattan in which they recently signed a sublease with MediaMath for 6,100 usable square feet of contiguous space to their current office space.

The two spaces were joined as one, with seamless workspace for their growing business. Syntactx’s existing office was immediately adjacent to the area of work, and remained occupied during the construction of the expansion space.

The fit-out and demolition work was coordinated early during the day to not disturb ongoing operations to Syntactx current spaces and surrounding tenants. Barriers and walls were put into place to mitigate safety. As the current space was never occupied, full MEP, sheet rock walls, and ceilings were constructed to match the style of the clients current offices.

Electrical and communications were installed and integrated with the original office, and the original pantry was demolished and re-constructed in the new location along with new restrooms, offices, and an artistic quiet room with an extensive library of clinical literature.
