Tishman Speyer Sumitomo Electric Fit-out
Sumitomo Electric wanted to upgrade and expand their offices in which the client expressed a preference for a bright and clean minimalist space with high ceilings and LED lighting that would reflect the firm’s design aesthetic.
The goal was to bring the project to Sumitomo’s expected budget with a highly condensed project schedule in order to make a smooth transition from the design concept to an operating state-of-the-art office space. Once the construction process began, it required close coordination between Holt, Sumitomo, The building management, design team and consultants. This project had an eight week time frame that required relocation of Sumitomo personnel to the new offices located in Rockefeller Center. Holt Construction was able to complete the project on time and on budget. The benefits from the Value Engineering and team collaboration enhanced and created a smooth project for all parties involved.
