WMC Good Samaritan Hospital Imaging Room Renovations
These existing rooms required complete demolition and renovation to accommodate the new, ultramodern imaging equipment.
A very aggressive delivery schedule was established in order to minimize the downtime to the imaging rooms. Several long lead items, including lead-lined doors and windows, switchable privacy glass and custom medical casework were accelerated in order to allow for the phased construction. The electrical supply and distribution infrastructure was upgraded to accommodate the new equipment. room renovations were phased so that the other procedure rooms could be utilized by the hospital during construction, which required Holt to accelerate labor in each room to accommodate the staggered delivery dates.
Holt worked with the architect, Philips and, hospital representatives, including infection control, to coordinate all phased construction activities, including weekend shutdowns, and to allow hospital staff to begin to use the renovated imaging rooms immediately after the Philips equipment was installed and passed inspection.
