Holt completed the 4,500 SF. Renovation of the lobby at 1400 Broadway.
Strategic use was made of the remaining architectural elements, incorporating them into a new interpretation of the original Art Deco lobby which was designed by Ely Jacques Kahn in 1931.
The signature addition is a paneled ceiling detailed in metal-cast fiberglass, which sub-divides the long lobby into a series of bays. The project includes new marble wall-cladding, concierge desks, marble flooring at the entrance, and a new Art Deco awning and storefront.
