The cutting-edge 30,000 square foot renovation of the existing American Airlines Flagship Club in Concourse B, Terminal 8 located at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). The project remained active as the terminal remained fully operational.
Project specifics include the installation of new flooring, doors, ceilings, wall panels and column cladding, light fixtures, furniture, bathroom fixtures, showers, elevator renovation and cladding, new check-in point, development of the Bridge and the replacement of the existing kitchen with a full-service kitchen. The project site occupied the major U.S. airline’s Leasehold and consisted of the demolition and re-installation of most of the finishes throughout the club as well as an upgrade of the existing MEP systems.
With a goal to optimize the project results, reduce any waste and maximize efficiency through all phases of design, fabrication and construction, the project adopted an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) approach.
