Animal Hospital

On behalf of the client, Holt Construction served as construction manager for the animal hospital at John F. Kennedy International Airport (“JFK”), which was widely proclaimed as “The World’s First Comprehensive Animal Handling and Intelligent Air Cargo Facility”.

The facility was built on a 14.4 acre site, with direct air-side access to the taxiway and an apron capable of parking, loading and unloading the largest cargo aircraft, including the Boeing 747-8 freighter. The animal hospital at JFK was developed, built and operated by the client, an affiliate of an aviation real estate company.
