Aviation Fit-out

Newark, NJ

Holt Construction, as construction manager at risk, partnered with an airline to complete a refresh project.

Holt Construction completed a fast-tracked refresh of an active QuickPak shipping facility, upgrading finishes, ceilings, and lighting while installing new podiums, scales, customer service areas, and back-of-house work surfaces. Partial demolition included creating new doorway openings and removing outdated furniture and kiosks. Operating in a fully occupied, 24-7 environment, our team strategically staged sections of the facility, utilized temporary locations, and erected construction barricades to ensure safety and minimize disruption. Originally planned for off-hours, the project was re-phased to allow most work to be completed during regular hours, improving efficiency, reducing costs, and maintaining the client’s tight schedule. Despite supply chain challenges caused by last-minute specification changes, the project finished on time, under budget, and with zero downtime thanks to careful planning and clear communication with the owner and staff.
