Holt Construction partnered with the client to complete the new C1 Club in Newark Liberty International Airport.
The scope of work included the complete demolition of an existing 20,000 sq. ft. passenger club to build-out the new club with additional HAVC systems and a new escalator. To accomplish the conversion, all MEPs required shutdowns before work could start. Due to the terminal being active, all deliveries and transportation of manpower was completed through the back of house, with heavy demolition completed at night so not to disturb concessions beneath the club. The club features a full restaurant grade kitchen, full bar, restrooms both group and private, and seating areas throughout the space.
