Food Hall Seating

Queens, NY

Holt Construction partnered with the client as construction manager to complete the seating project inside JFK International Airport, Terminal 4.

The scope of work included the demolition of the existing seating area including stripping floors, finishes and wall finishes for a complete face lift to the area. Major millwork included sit down tables, picnic tables, planters and massive benches in addition to two fifteen-foot trees. Due to the site being directly above the Customs Office, when core drilling was required, Holt collaborated with IAT and Customs to work off hours to deliver power to required equipment. Additionally, due to the seating area located within the main halls of the terminal, work was completed in the early morning to mitigate any issues with staff and passengers.
