Holt Construction partnered with the hospital as construction manager to complete the installation of a new Linear Accelerator and IT closet.
The project included the conversion and construction of existing patient observation areas, into a new Linear Accelerator room. Additional rooms included a new control room, mechanical room and a UPS room. Lab one and two were new units while lab three was converted from an existing patient observation room. Major demolition commenced throughout the floor including corridor areas. The project required level four ICRA at all times, due to patients on the existing and surrounding floors and when delivering equipment. A full containment and negative air system was required. Holt built a temporary wall the length of the corridor to include the area of work.
