Holt Construction partnered with the client as general contractor to complete the multi phased lounge at DFW International Airport, located within Terminal D.
Originally an unoccupied clinic, the site was renovated and expanded to fit the new club. The scope of work included demolition of existing walls, ceilings, existing fan coil units with upgraded HVAC controls and modernization of existing kitchen equipment. Three formed glass panels were installed as separators in addition to a custom bar and food areas. Additionally, new restrooms and new egress points were included.
Holt collaborated with existing tenants as work commenced at night so not to disturb those occupied spaces. Holt worked with airport personnel as existing mechanical equipment was present and not shown in the original drawings. Holt worked with airport staff to keep vital equipment running while installing new mechanical equipment to open the club under budget.
