Holt Construction partnered with the client to convert 90,000 sq. ft. of existing retail space into a luxury Casino, located in Newburgh, NY.
The first phase of the project was to demolish the existing interior department store in addition to multiple smaller areas within the interior mall entrance, to accommodate the new casino’s entryway. After demolition the construction commenced and included a half mile of under slab beverage distribution system for the casino’s bars and stations. 65,000 sq. ft. of the floor was raised to accommodate the extensive HVAC, millwork, and additional equipment.
A centerpiece 360 bar called, The Bet Sports Bar is considered the focal point with a step style ceiling, drawing visitors into the facility. The site has extensive custom millwork and wall cladding in addition to the one-of-a-kind ceiling fixtures. The casino houses 1,200 cutting-edge slot machines and electronic table. The interior entrance was modified to say in line with the client’s branding, with a new store front and outdoor signage. Additionally a second floor was added for employees which included, offices, security and conference room. The second floor could be accessed by stair or elevator. Back of the house amentias included, lobby for staff, changing and bathrooms, server and power rooms, loading docks, money room and armored car garage.
