Holt Construction supported the client in the construction of their new clubhouse.
The lounge provides space for the airline’s first-class passengers and features a variety of seating and dining areas, all surrounded by perforated aluminum walls. The project included running MEP’s through occupied tenant space, baggage area and terminal seating. Many different ceiling elevations were constructed to go along with ceiling fixtures that had 6” cans at many different elevations. The clubhouse functions as a private members club, with a boutique lobby, restaurant service and bar as it also introduces the client’s first overseas spa and the first hair salon in any US business class lounge. The club has won more than ten awards including the 2015 Society of American Registered Architects National Design Award, the 2014 AIA New York Design Awards for Interiors, the 2014 AIAI New York Archtober Building of the Day, among other national and international accolades.
