Holt Construction completed the build-out of the new restaurant which included a kitchen area, warming area and checkout area.
As part of Logan Airport’s Terminal E expansion, Holt Construction delivered a 1,200 square foot buildout for Sal’s Pizza, a fast-casual restaurant with a dual purpose: serving its own customers and acting as the shared kitchen for neighboring concepts Pete’s and Boston Harbor Distillery.
The space began as a white box and was transformed into a fully functioning pizzeria with specialty millwork in the front-of-house. Located within an active construction zone, the project required daily coordination with Massport and other contractors. Unique site restrictions, including a specialized roof that prohibited mechanical penetrations, meant all systems had to be routed downward. Despite delays with the base building and electrical materials, the project was completed on time and significantly under budget. Holt’s ability to navigate complex airport logistics made this a standout success.
