Restaurant Fit-out

Queens, NY

Holt Construction, as construction manager, completed a new restaurant fit out within terminal 4 of JFK International Airport.

Holt Construction completed this fit-out, transforming a former grab-and-go station into a full-service dining space with a bar, kitchen, and seating area. Working within an active terminal presented challenges, especially with the site located beside a heavily used staircase and escalator. To mitigate disruptions, lease line work was performed during off-hours, and safety measures such as barricades, cleaning, and noise control were strictly enforced. The project included custom imported millwork from Canada, including a specialty bar, back bar, seating, and countertops, as well as a Maxxit trellis, which required careful coordination due to long lead times. A unique aspect of this build was installing new plumbing in a space with no existing penetrations, all while delivering a restaurant with striking views from the terminal corner.
