Restaurant, Terminal 4

Queens, NY

Holt Construction partnered with the client to complete the fit-out of the new eatery located inside JFK International Airport, Terminal 4.

The scope of work included the construction of the restaurant inside an existing white box. Due to the site being located within a narrow corridor of a heavily trafficked area, barricades were setup with limited time between flights to move people and material with some deliveries taking place during the evening hours. Due to the small size of the space, an existing white box that was unoccupied at the time was used to stage and deliver all materials. New electrical, data, and HVAC was installed with coordination for all tie-ins to the building facilities personnel. To mitigate any down time of existing areas, tie-ins were completed after hours. The restaurant’s millwork houses a unique centerpiece of a custom-built boat frame which was coordinated with the trades prior to closing off the ceiling.
