Restaurant, Terminal B

Queens, NY

Holt Construction partnered with the client as construction manager to complete the new restaurant within Terminal B of LGA Airport.

Originally a white box, the space required demolition before construction could start. Additionally, airline staff locker rooms were relocated to perform MEP work under the floors. Due to the location having occupied tenants on either side of the space, all noisy work was completed within a decommissioned jet bridge and relocated back to the site. The space featured imported millwork from Canada and included a back-of-house kitchen, walk in coolers and front-of-house QSR front counter, and queuing area. Due to the space having a fire shutter, it required testing and interfacing with the building’s file alarm system. The FCU was delayed due to supply constraints and in order to complete the project on time, Holt performed out of sequence activities until the unit could be delivered. This allowed us not only to complete the project without delay, but we were ahead of schedule when the project was completed.
