Holt Construction partnered with the client as construction manager to build-out their new club within the newly constructed Terminal A, located within Newark Liberty International Airport.
The client collaborated with Holt for preconstruction services which evolved into construction management services. Originally an unfished space overlooking the new Terminal A, the club houses seating for over 200 guests, dining, bar services, check-in lobby, back of the house food services and restroom area.
The featured millwork includes metal cap details, tambour wood, walnut finishes and acoustic paneling and ceilings. Imported Horizon Italian title granite stone was installed throughout the club in addition to bronze metal paneling through the bar and food areas. The restrooms utilize a quartz finish in addition to Wellington stone on the floors and walls.
Due to the base building being occupied during construction, Holt worked with airport staff to mitigate any safety concerns. The project was being completed simultaneously with an adjacent club. Due to the shared tight corridors, Holt coordinated with airport staff and various trades on deliveries to not impact the project’s schedule.
