Taxiway Airfield Improvements

Newark, NJ

Holt Construction partnered with the client to perform milling, paving, and striping for a new taxiway within an active airfield.

The project involved milling, paving, and striping work for the new Taxiway RF at Newark Liberty International Airport. Crews removed the existing taxiway surface and prepared the substrate for new material installation. Located between Terminals B and C, the work took place within an active airfield environment, requiring close coordination with United Airlines for scheduled gate closures. Deliveries of materials were carefully staged to avoid disruption to airport operations. The project operated on a 24-hour schedule with multiple shifts to maintain continuous progress and was completed ahead of schedule and under budget.
