Terminal 8 Dual Concession Fit-Out

Queens, NY

Holt Construction was hired as a construction manager to complete a dual concession’s fit-out in Terminal 8 of JFK in New York, NY.

Holt Construction completed a 2,500 sq. ft. dual-storefront fit-out at JFK Airport’s Terminal 8, featuring a shared kitchen, back-of-house support space, and a feature bar with seating for eighteen guests. The project required full demolition of an existing space and expansion into an active gate hold area, with all building systems remaining operational throughout. To mitigate disruptions, off-hour work, full barricades, and ceiling-height dust shields were implemented. The scope included custom millwork, including a millwork ceiling with integrated lighting and specialized soffits at the storefront. Due to the terminal’s logistical constraints, Holt coordinated alternate delivery routes through gate entries. Despite material delays caused by ceiling support design complexities, the project was delivered on time and within budget. Holt collaborated with DNA (Architect) and Rosini Engineering to meet the Port Authority’s security and operational requirements.
