In an effort to expedite the construction schedule, the exterior walls were formed and poured on the building slab surface and then boomed upright in place using multiple cranes.
The interior of the facility consists of 40’ clear spaces to the ceiling which accommodated the racking system required for product storage in addition to allowing for product adequate assembly space. Holt utilized tilt-up construction for the concrete as a cost-effective technique which shortened the completion time. This required significant logistical planning and collaboration on site with the owner, architect and all trades. The project scope included site evaluation, engineering, footings, floor slabs, forming tilt-up panels, steel placement, embeds and inserts, concrete placement, panel erection and panel finishing.
