Holt Construction partnered with the client as the construction manager to complete renovation work within the healthcare facility.
The scope of work included the full demolition of an existing office space, encompassing the removal of existing HVAC systems and electrical infrastructure, followed by the construction and fit-out of two new healthcare facilities: a laboratory and a pharmacy. Because the project was performed within an occupied healthcare facility, Holt implemented ICRA-compliant barricades to establish a secure and sanitary perimeter around the construction area. Close coordination with building management and facility staff allowed the team to schedule work in alignment with operational needs, including performing certain activities during weekends to minimize disruption to ongoing services.
The completed space incorporated custom-fabricated millwork with a white rock finish and included three medication mixing rooms, a dedicated changing room, and office space within the pharmacy area. The laboratory was designed and constructed with a patient restroom, waiting area, and blood draw station. Due to stringent air quality and filtration requirements associated with medical and pharmaceutical environments, the project required significant HVAC upgrades to meet regulatory standards. Through the execution of this work, the project team developed specialized expertise in the air pressure differentials and ventilation requirements critical to the safe operation of a medical pharmacy.
