Holt Hudson Valley New York Team Wins ENR’s Best Regional Project Specialty Construction

In partnership with PharmaCann, Shive Hattery and MH&E Consulting, Holt Constructed acted as construction manager for this state-of-the-art 90,000 sq. ft grow facility. The scope of work included improvements to an existing Cannabis Cultivation Facility and build-out of additional cultivation space as part of the owner’s master plan. New underground utilities, placement of concrete and complete build-out of horticulture operations and associated mechanical irrigation equipment in both existing and additions to the campus were constructed. The site was approximately 40’ higher than the proposed first floor elevation. To mitigate this, Holt utilized excavators in concert with dump trucks for the removal of earth. Once the soil was removed and the site was excavated 24 feet below grade foundations where formed. The foundation was designed with waterproofing material with all utility penetrations constructed above the water line. This required the installation of twenty-eight soldier piles with wood cribbing to be installed to maintain the existing structures and safety as the addition was built.
