Holt Construction was selected as the Construction Manager at Risk for a retail concession fit-out in Terminal D at DFW International Airport.
The project scope included general demolition of the existing space followed by a full interior build-out featuring new drywall with wall coverings, ceilings, custom millwork, signage, doors and hardware, as well as mechanical and electrical upgrades. The space was transformed into a refreshed concession environment designed to support retail operations in a high-traffic airport setting.
Construction was completed within an active, secure airport environment, requiring careful coordination and the installation of temporary partition walls to maintain safety and minimize disruption to surrounding operations. Despite a tight schedule driven by the requirement to open ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday travel period, the project was delivered successfully while meeting schedule and budget objectives.
